Spend time enjoying the tranquillity of the Italian Garden and the newly replanted Paradise Walk (now in its second year) including Astrantia ‘Ruby’, Kniphofia ‘Tawny King’, and Erigeron ‘Darkest of All’ and Perovskia ‘Blue Spire’. The Midsummer border designed by Tony Lord in 2011 includes ‘Gold Standard’ roses in shades of orange, red and yellow combined with perennials creating a warm and rich display in this teardrop-shaped border just by the main South Lawn. The Jay Robin’s Rose Garden is a powerful display and with over 500 scented varieties the aroma alone makes it worth a visit.
The Garden is open daily to 2nd November (except 26th July and the afternoon of 23rd August), 10am to 6pm (or dusk if earlier). Last entry one hour before closing. Additional tickets are required for the Theatre and Cinema, otherwise all other events are included in the standard admission prices.
