I love Wetlands Week at Arundel Wetlands Centre, Feb 14-22
Valentine’s Day on Sat 14 Feb is the beginning of I love Wetlands Week at Arundel Wetlands Centre. During the half term families can follow the ‘Love Trail’ leading to all the wildlife and activities there are to love at Arundel’s wetland nature reserve. You can enter to win a Love Birds garden set including a nest box and bird seed.
Young children can Love Swans when they play the Bewick’s Bills match game around the trails. Hands-on indoor activities for children include pinecone bird feeder crafts and Love Poo sessions where children learn what birds eat by following poo clues! Families can walk with WWT Warden Sam on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons to learn to Love the Reed Swamp!
WWT staff are on hand for Love Bird Watching drop-in each afternoon from 1-3pm on the World Wetland feeding bay. Or watch rare ducks dive for food at Diving Duck Fish Feed at 2 pm each day. Feb 14-21 is also National Nest Box week so show your love for garden birds with a nest box from the WWT Arundel gift shop.
From the Wetland Discovery boat safari, nature themed play areas and the chance to see and hand feed a diverse selection of birds and wildlife, Arundel Wetland Centre promises more than enough to fill a full day out for all the family. Save 10% off the admission price when you book WWT Arundel Wetland Centre tickets online at www.wwt.org.uk/arundel
You can show your Love for Wetlands when you buy and order of chips and get a WWT wildlife pin during our Chip n’ Pin offer Feb 14-22. Want a sweeter treat? Try a Valentine muffin, a pastry and coffee for £3 before 11 am or a cream tea for £3.50 after 2:30 pm.
