Enjoy the magic and enchantment of Christmas at Drusillas Park this December, as the award-winning family attraction re-launches its festive offering to bring you a dazzling Winter Wonderland.
Of course, no festivities would be complete without the star attraction and visitors will not be disappointed as Father Christmas makes a welcome return to the zoo. Visit him in his cosy Christmas Cottage during weekends from the 1st and then daily from 15th to 23rd December inclusive; for a small additional charge children can meet Santa and receive an early Christmas gift.
Drusillas will also be switching on their Winter Wonderland illuminations, brand new for 2012. Designed by ‘King of Lights’ Paul Toole, the dazzling display will incorporate an animal themed light show, synchronised to music. Young revellers can expect to see a host of magical creatures in the ice-capped kingdom, adding some extra sparkle to the festive season from Saturday 1st December until Sunday 6th January.
Visitors will also be able to hug a husky for the first time at the zoo, weekends from Saturday 1st December and then daily from Thursday 20th until Sunday 23rd December. The two cuddly canines will be meeting visitors between 1pm and 5pm near the Events Arena; you’d be barking mad to miss it.
There will also be a feast of festive fayre, served up from the Station Buffet, including hot roasted chestnuts, fresh doughnuts, mulled wine and mince pies. Plus the Fat Controller will be causing a locomotion, when he alights at the Park to take control of the efficient running of the Thomas & Friends™ railway on Saturday 22nd December.
Located just off the A27, Drusillas Park is open from 10:00am until 5:00pm daily, with the exception of 24th, 25th and 26th December.
