The recent announcement that Lee Evans Work in Progress is coming to the Congress (7 July) and with the recent hugely successful 2 week run of CATS which led to some performances having just a handful of seats left to sell - it’s looking set to be a hot ticket selling summer for Eastbourne Theatres once again!

The gripping, unpredictable thriller Double Death by Simon Williams runs nightly 29 July – 23 August at the Devonshire Park Theatre. Starring Brian Capron (Coronation Street, EastEnders, Grange Hill) and Andrew Paul (The Bill, Slinger’s Day), this is the deadly tale of identical twins whose rivalry has no way to end other than finally; but which is victim and which is psychopath?
DI Fergus and Lalla, the twin’s aunt, face tough choices as they try to ascertain the truth and prevent what seems the inevitable. Perhaps the twin’s have done it again and pulled off the final “switch”. A ticket will buy the whole seat but you’ll only need the edge of it!
If music is more your thing then the Congress is your go-to theatre this summer; Rock Around The Clock (12 – 16 August) is sure to shake rattle and roll the Congress with an affectionate celebration of the American jukebox of the 1950’s. Changing era; Dreamboats and Miniskirts (25 – 30 August) sequel to the smash-hit juggernaut Dreamboats and Petticoats sees the original characters return as they enter an exciting new period in pop-history, the 1960’s. Not forgetting Spirit of the Dance (19 – 23 Aug), an award-winning Irish dance sensation, bursting with raw energy it’s a must for fans of Celtic music and dance.
