Half Term February Fun All news

There is plenty of fun to be had at the Royal Pavilion & Museums this half term. Why not pop along to Hove Museum and catch the Robot Invasion! exhibition before it closes and join in one of our robot-themed family events. Or create your own artwork taking inspiration from Brighton Museum’s World Art and Arctic Collections at one of our Studio Days. Plus older children can come along to one of our Young People Events - learn about the life of the Museum Curator, or learn some new moves at a streetdance masterclass!

Robot Invasion!

Come along for a last chance to see this wonderful exhibition at Hove Museum. See science fiction come to life in this galactic display of robots and space toys!  Vintage, collectable and popular items of all shapes and sizes from the collection of Sussex artist and illustrator Chris McEwan are on display.

The exhibition proudly displays these iconic objects providing inspiration and enjoyment for all ages. It celebrates our fascination with robots and the enduring impact they have on our imagination.

Robot Animation Workshops

Saturdays 11, 18 February

In groups, create your own robotic characters and backdrops. Bring them to life using our animation software and premiere your films in front of the group.

 

Robot Challenge!

Tuesday 14 February

10.30am-12pm, 1-2.30pm, 3-4.30pm £2 Book in advance, 11-16 years

In small groups, build and decorate light-seeking robots. Pit them against each other in a race around a giant maze. There can be only one winner in this robotic battle!

 

Studio Day: Art in Mind

Tuesday 14 February

Young people from local charity Art in Mind lead this workshop for families, inspired by the World Art collection. Use clay and multimedia to make an artwork that tells people more about you. A World Stories event

 

Dinosaur Disaster
