It’s Out of Hours at Theatre Royal Brighton – the show hasn’t started, the actors aren’t in – we’ve got backstage of the Theatre to ourselves.............
Theatre Royal Brighton has put together a programme of four atmospheric events in unusual settings to keep the Theatre alive during the annual “dark” period.
Children, families, and adults will have a rare glimpse of the hidden parts behind the scenes at the Theatre, where all the events take place. Audiences will enter the building through the Stage Door on Bond Street generally used by the actors.
Thursday 2 August
A troupe of troubadours take you on a journey jammed with melancholy music, playful puppetry and stories of dark mischief and high magic! Along the way we encounter the largest castle that has ever existed, an otter with a speech impediment and a girl who fears her own reflection.
This is no ordinary show – instead of taking a seat in the auditorium you will climb onto the stage, go through a side door in the wall and enter our backstage scene dock – a space never normally seen by audiences!
Performances at 2pm & 4pm Adults £7, Children £5 suitable for children 6+ and their accompanying adults
