On Thursday 25 July Brighton Museum gets fabulous for an alternative pre-pride party, with an amazingly fun packed evening of culture, entertainment and things to do.
Dress as your favourite gay icon, get ready for Pride and come Out Late! Dance the night away to DJ Dynamite Sal’s tongue-in-cheek poptastic playlist or get a drink at the bar, dust off your gaydar and join in the Speed Flirting or visit our Coming out Confessional.
Haven’t got your outfit for Pride sorted yet? Get some ideas from our fancy dress box and get your make up done at our Drag Queen Makeover station with lashes, glitter and eyeliner a go go!
Get creative with our Rainbow Animation Station, make your own felt character and bring it to life using stop motion animation. Go back to your childhood and play Gay Icons Guess Who or get a picture of yourself and your friends in our Robotic photo booth.
You can also take a short tour and find out about the LGBT history behind some of the objects in the museum. Live performances, DJ, cool cocktails, make and take, objects with stories to tell and much more.
So whether you are gay, lesbian, trans, TV, queer, or just a fabulous person, come and celebrate life’s wonderful variety. And there are free moustaches!
Thursday 25 July, 7-10pm, tickets cost £5, members £4 (in advance), £6 (on the door). Book in advance on 03000 290902, email firstname.lastname@example.org, in person at any of our venues, or book online at www.brighton-hove-museums.org.uk.
