2014 Exhibition Programme Announced
Pallant House Gallery recently annonced its 2014 exhibition programme. Highlights include 'Stanley Spencer: Heaven in a Hell of War', the complete set of predella and lunette paintings from the Sandham Memorial Chapel, Spencer's celebrated homage to the First World War.
This will be followed by 'JD Fergusson: Scottish Colourist', which will highlight how Fergusson's passionate knowledge of contemporary French art combined with the painterly traditions of Scotland put him at the forefront of the introduction of modern art to Britain.
In autumn, 'British Artists and the Spanish Civil War' will explore the impact of this major event on artists such as Edward Burra, Wyndham Lewis, Henry Moore and John Armstrong and examine them alongside international artists such as Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro.
Watch out for more information about the 2014 exhibitions programme over the coming weeks and months.
