Make the most of the spring sunshine this Easter holidays with an action-packed programme of activities at Wilderness Wood, an award-winning 62-acre woodland in the beautiful Sussex High Weald.
There's something to suit all ages and interests: on the ever-popular Bunny Hunt 7-9th April kids of all ages can search the woodland for wooden bunnies to win prizes. Other Easter-themed kids' activities include Easter Mini Makers, an Egg Decorating Eggstravaganza and Easter biscuit making workshops.
The Sunday after Easter (15th April) the whole family can enjoy a Spring Flower Foray, wandering into the wood in search of the prettiest blooms, learning about the life of flowers, making garlands to take home, and posies to decorate the table for a sumptuous Easter Feast of local organic roast lamb and other seasonal delicacies served under the fresh green spring leaves.
There are activities every day of the Easter holidays - from Castaways, Firecraft and Camp Building sessions for the more adventurous to Fairy Gardens and Wand Making sessions for younger children. Or if you're feeling brave you could hunt Monsters or bears!
Or visitors can simply explore the network of nature trails (including a beautiful Bluebell Trail), let off steam in the woodland adventure playground, and enjoy a delicious selection of local and organic food & drink from the woodland barbeque and timber-frame Barn cafe.
