Originating in 1920 and initially holding just 22 paintings, Towner’s collection has grown to over 4000 pieces of stunning artwork and sculptures. Eventually, the gallery outgrew its Georgian manor house surroundings and a new building opened in 2009, having been built by award-winning architects.
