“While many pubs are trying to serve up local grub with a seasonal twist, The Foragers have gone a step further... Several steps in fact “ Mimi Spencer, The Observer.
Over the last 5 years the team at this Hove gem have stubbornly stuck to their philosophy of using only the best local produce, and now this commitment has finally been acknowledged. The Foragers recently won “Best Eating Experience” in The Sussex Food Awards 2012, as well as being awarded a prestigious AA Rosette last year.
They’re passionate about their produce, which is supplied by Sussex producers such as Fin and Farm, Natural Farms and the Flint Owl Bakery. Furthermore the average cost for 3 courses is just over £20 (they also offer a 2 courses for £12 menu) which offers great value.
These local heroes have not forgotten their pub roots, as everyone is welcome here, whether it’s for pint of Harveys or a bite to eat, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food bold. As Spring warms up The Foragers is also a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sunshine in their award winning beer garden.
The Foragers pub has been a trailblazer in both sustainability and fine pub grub, and is therefore a must for all.
