Acclaimed by authors and actors alike, the Fountain was often frequented by local resident Sir Laurence Olivier. The inn was famously the setting for Sir Paul McCartney’s 1979 music video “Wonderful Christmastime”!

Our seasonal menu combines produce from Sussex suppliers, harvest from our very own kitchen garden and the talent of our dedicated chefs.

The wide ranging drinks choices, include ales from our Cask Marque accredited cellar and an excellent selection of hand-picked wines.

During the winter months, curl up with a newspaper by our open log fire. In the Summer, bring the family and relax in our sun soaked garden as the children are enchanted by the ducks on our pond and the rabbits in the neighbouring fields.
