Southern Railways fast services from and Brighton and Hove takes just 50 minutes from London Victoria. Frequent trains also run to Arundel, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton with a journey time of 1 hour 40 minutes. The Arun Valley train service links Littlehampton, Arundel, Amberley, Pulborough, Billingshurst, Horsham Crawley and Three Bridges to Victoria.
Regular services run along the coast, east through Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings, and west through Worthing and Chichester to Portsmouth.
First Capital Connect services run from London King's Cross and London Bridge to Brighton. Trains from Gatwick Airport take just 30 minutes to reach London or Brighton, and the non-stop Gatwick Express service runs every 15 minutes between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport.
South East Trains operates services to Hastings, Rye, Battle and Pevensey from London's Victoria Station and Charing Cross.

Travel to East & West Sussex by road
Journey time from the centre of London to Gatwick Airport is one hour. From the M25 London orbital, several roads head south into the county. The A27 runs east-west across the south of the county and gives access to the coastal resorts Hastings, Eastbourne, Brighton, Worthing and Chichester. There are also scenic 'B' roads along the coast and the A272 route across the heart of Sussex

Regular international, domestic and charter flights fly to and from London Gatwick Airport in the north of the county. For more information contact Gatwick Airport or call 01293 535353. Regular coach services connect London Heathrow Airport to Gatwick, and there are good rail connections from Gatwick to destinations in Sussex and to central London. Regular scheduled flights run from Shoreham Airport to the Channel Islands and Paris, and Shoreham also has good rail links to London and Brighton.

Travel to East & West Sussex by Channel Tunnel
The Channel Tunnel, near Folkestone in Kent, is less than one hour's drive away from Gatwick. Eurotunnel (Le Shuttle) run vehicle transfers between Folkestone and Calais/Coquelles. Journey time is 30 minutes.
Eurostar - The Eurostar train service operates through the Channel Tunnel from Calais, Brussels, Lille and Paris to St Pancras International station in London, Ashford International and Ebbsfleet International in Kent.
