A Recipe For Fun

Take two thousand re-enactors in authentic medieval armour; add horses, cannon, siege machines, longbows and crossbows; season liberally with breath-taking displays in the ancient art of falconry and skill-at-arms horsemen competing for prizes and place them all in the fairy-tale setting of Herstmonceux Castle. Add jesters, strolling minstrels, puppeteers and hogs roasting over open fires and watch the fun begin.

Experience two massive siege re-enactments, living history encampments for the historically minded with displays of swordsmanship, archery and medieval craftsmanship. There's also the Kids' Kingdom for younger visitors and two 'Medieval' Taverns for the hungry and thirsty
