A venture into the unknown or a well worn path – starts with a first step
Beachy Head in Sussex, with its dramatic white cliffs and gently undulating downs, is an area of outstanding natural beauty and, along with the Seven Sisters, a haven for those who like to walk or cycle.
It's also a great place for picnics, hang-gliding, mountain boarding, kite flying, surfing or the rather less extreme sport of sunbathing.
There are many historic sites in the area, as well as pretty villages with good pubs, shops and restaurants to visit, all within easy reach of the main towns of the region.
Beachy Head offers a great day out, visitors are welcome to spend time at the sheep centre, or enjoying the walks, the Hikers Rest Tea and Gift Shop, play cricket on the recreation ground, or enjoy one of the many events in the village that take place throughout the year.
Further information can be found at the Beachy Head website and at the Beachy Head Countryside Centre located close to the cliff tops at over 500 feet above sea level.www.beachyhead.org
