Type: Japanese

Oki-Nami the restaurant was based in Hove for 13 years before last year moving to its new home just a couple of doors from the Theatre Royal in Brighton.

The design of the new restaurant is clean, simple and welcoming but what head chef Mike Dodd is truly passionate about is creating an authentic Japanese culinary experience, using two fundamental principles of Japanese cooking, the quality and the freshness of ingredients.

The well balanced menu comprising of sushi and sashimi, tapas dishes, main courses and desserts caters for a western palate but equally offers an authentically Japanese dining experience. the 'oki' bar located on the first floor serves classic cocktails alongside original sake based creations, wine and Japanese beers, with views from the large bay windows and balcony overlooking the Pavilion gardens.
